Triggers are the ‘nudges’ ALL receive to indicate what conditioning is ‘ready’ to be dissolved. Most triggers are missed or designated as bad luck or unfortunate or even disastrous. From a hangnail to a life threatening illness or accident [so-called], triggers offer each one this blessing to remove a cloud that hides the Real YOU – the ONE SELF.
Resistance to these triggers ‘expands’ their influence and this is called ‘suffering’. It reinforces the illusion of victim-hood which is based on the belief in separation. It also promotes even more poignant triggers ALL designed to FREE the imprisoned SELF from the bondage of the Grand Dream.
When one finally ‘Surrenders’ [usually in many stages as they hold fast to this or that ‘special’ attachment], they are beginning to say YES to ‘What Is’ and this soon results in a significant ‘increase’ in triggers showing up. These triggers however are usually gentler since ‘drama’ is no longer required to get one’s attention.
Triggers are often called ‘life lessons’ by the spiritual community but they are simply ‘prompts’ to turn attention within where the simplicity of Self Inquiry can easily dissolve that layer of conditioning.
