JOHN MCINTOSH
The need to ‘be seen’ arises from the sense of being ‘incomplete’, which is an aspect of the belief in separation. ONE is always WHOLE and indivisible.
The false self [the body-mind-identity most call ‘me’] ‘parades’ its fake importance in limitless ways for all to witness in the hope that it will receive confirmation that it is ‘worthy’. The accolades it seeks can be overt or very subtle, even to the total denial of such a need. The louder the ‘voice’ [silent or not] … the greater the neediness. This is never more insidious than in the myopic naivety of spiritual arrogance.
The ONE SELF [when IT retains a body in the dream] ‘never’ seeks approval, recognition or validation and never speaks of ITs Awareness. ITs radiance expresses that effortlessly.
